Thematic Static: Songs featuring repetition

It bears repeating: words or phrases or sequences of beats often make up the “hook” of a song that gets stuck in your head thanks to its repetition, an often used literary and music device. Since the first show was on 10/10, and listeners had so many great requests, we kicked off what would become a two-show theme with your favorite songs featuring repetition for emphasis.

United Record Pressing supports this show and we thank that legacy local business for its sponsorship of this mixtape we make together on WNXP. Find the next prompt for Thematic Static @wnxpnashville on the socials. You can also leave a voicemail at 615-320-9100. Enjoy both “repetition” shows here and an even larger playlist of requests via WNXP’s Spotify.
