There’s a lot of detail to take in during WNXP’s exclusive new clip from Madi Diaz, Artist of the Month for August. She allowed our videographer, Be SHOOTiN of Third i Media, into her East Nashville home the same day that she played tour guide during a drive-around interview for a career profile.
Inside her space, images of horses adorn her walls and refrigerator, books about Peruvian cooking and Liz Phair’s career are stacked atop the piano and a box of incense sticks leans against the window, features of a life spent collecting insight. The way Diaz sees it, it’s her job as a singer-songwriter to be attentive: “My inspirations can kind of come from anywhere and lead me from anywhere.”
