Exclusive: Unreleased music from phenomenon Chuquimamani-Condori debuting on WNXP

Chuquimamani-Condori will play never-heard-before edits and unreleased original music on Friday night from 8 – 9PM CT live on WNXP. Plus, there’s a special announcement about their band, Los Thuthanaka, ahead of their tour in Europe this April.

Los Thuthanaka’s album, was Pitchfork’s #1 album of 2025. Los Thuthanaka. Jeremy Larson wrote, of the songs, “you can make out five centuries of music history dancing with each other.”

Los Thuthanaka is a duo from siblings Joshua Chuquimia Crampton and Nashville’s Chuquimamani-Condori. The instrumental album layers samples of the Música Boliviana Popular on top of electric guitars and synth, on top of Andean folk instruments. Chuquimamani-Condori’s Edits series does the same, on top of songs like “The Way It Is” by Bruce Hornsby.

Chuquimamani-Condori is a nomad. They’ve lived in California, Mexico and Bolivia, but their father was minister outside of Knoxville, Tennessee, and they now reside around Nashville. Interviews are few and far between for Chuquimamani-Condori, with statements occasionally coming in the form of a lecture or artist talk. A chance to hear from this artist is rare.

Chuquimamani-Condori will be doing an hour long set this Friday at 8 – 9PM CT on 91.1FM in Nashville and streaming on wnxp.org. Half of this set will be unreleased and never-heard-before edits. The other half will be unreleased original music. They will present the songs in between and make an announcement about Los Thuthanaka.
