NPR Music just announced its eighth annual Tiny Desk Contest, inviting unsigned musicians working in any style anywhere in the nation to get behind a desk and film a performance of original music.
The rules and entry form can be found here.
WNXP will definitely be watching for entries from right here in our backyard.
And for this year’s judging, Tiny Desk creator Bob Boilen and producer Bobby Carter have assembled a killer crew of discerning listeners, made up of Tiny Desk performing alums Raveena, iLe, Big K.R.I.T. and Michelle Zauner of Japanese Breakfast, as well as my critical colleague Nate Chinen.
