Courtney Marie Andrews Live at WNXP’s Sonic Cathedral

Nashville’s Courtney Marie Andrews has spent the last decade touring and honing her folk sound, but it may have taken a global pandemic to allow the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter the time to master her artistry, both on and off the stage. During this forced time of “rest,” Andrews published her first book of poetry, publicly showcased her paintings for the first time, and wrote a collection of jaw-dropping songs that would become her latest record Loose Future. Produced by Sam Evian, Andrews’ loving lyrics are supported by an all-star cast of musicians like Chris Bear of Grizzly Bear, Josh Kaufman and Sam Owens. The result might be Andrews’ finest work yet, pushing her to sonic depths beyond the obvious Americana sound.

Watch Courtney Marie Andrews perform “These Are The Good Old Days,” “Satellite” and the title track off Loose Future live at WNXP’s Sonic Cathedral.
