What Where When-sday: The Rock and Roll Playhouse

This week for What Where When-sday, we discuss The Rock and Roll Playhouse plays music of The Beatles at Brooklyn Bowl on Sunday. The kid-friendly live concert series brings the music of iconic musicians to allow parents to share their musical experiences with their children in an atmosphere that’s fun and engaging for both parties, including games, face painting and, yes, a parachute.

Outside of the classics from The Beatles, the show will feature a special guest opener, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Jessie Baylin performing her children’s record Strawberry Wind, and the show will benefit Out of the Wood Foundation and Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Additional event opportunities start with two nights at the Ryman with Sierra Ferrell tonight and tomorrow. Nicki Lane performs at The Basement East on Friday. (Check out a live session with Lane performing songs from her album Denim and Diamonds here.) On Saturday night, Sun Seeker is at DRKMTTR. (You can check out a live session with the band here.) Also, hip-hop collective Six One Trïbe will be at Analog inside the Hutton Hotel. (Find more coverage on the former WNXP Nashville Artist of the Month here.) Plus, WNXP Presents London-based rock band Bar Italia at The Blue Room on Monday.
