Sun Seeker Debuts New Song Live at WNXP’s Sonic Cathedral

Nashville’s Sun Seeker and its members (Alex Benick, Ben Parks and Asher Horton) have been mainstays in the city’s indie music scene since the early-aughts, so it’s hard to believe they just dropped their debut full length in 2021. A Sunrise in a Basement is the culmination of the sound Sun Seeker has been crafting since their teenage years. Blending breezy pop melodies with Laurel Canyon-esque folk and a psychedelic tinge, the trio writes universally approachable songs. The long history of the band is evident in their flawless live delivery which features sweetly-sung harmonies and one of the tightest rhythm sections in indie rock.

Watch Sun Seeker debut an unreleased track and perform “Button Up” and “Just Me” from A Sunrise in a Basement live at WNXP’s Sonic Cathedral.
