Here’s another edition of What Where When-sday, designed to keep you up to date with the happenings in Nashville this week. You might attend Drag Bingo with Vivica Steele tomorrow night at Acme Feed and Seed with proceeds benefitting Just Us at The Oasis Center. (ICYMI: Vivica joined Celia on-air Monday morning in advance of her performance at the Love Rising benefit at Bridgestone Arena).
Our WNXP Presents events include tonight’s show with Chiiild and former Nashville Artist of the Month Isaia Huron at The Basement East, and tomorrow night Quasi at The Blue Room. Our second New Music Taste Test of 2023 will be hosted at Tennessee Brew Works taproom Sunday from 5-7pm. Check the listings down below for more.
Our special guest for What Where When-sday this week is Kid Koala, the multimedia artist and DJ that has toured with artists from Radiohead to The Beastie Boy to A Tribe Called Quest. He’s also contributed to movies scores like “The Great Gatsby” and “Scott Pilgrim vs The World.” He brings The Storyville Mosquito, an animated graphic novel, to life at OZ Arts Nashville March 23-25. The four shows, two on Saturday, are performed, filmed, projected, and scored live on stage with an imaginative mix of miniature sets, puppetry, cinematography, and live music. Hear Kid Koala’s discussion about the project with WNXP’s Justin Barney, above.
