We are keeping you up to date with the happenings in Nashville this week from WNXP Trivia tonight at The Blue Room, Record Store Day this Saturday, Jill Scott at Municipal Auditorium on Sunday night, and more you can find down below.
This Friday is the opening of Guitar Town: Picturing Performance Today at the Frist Arts Museum, an exhibit featuring the work of ten Nashville-based photographers capturing the city’s diverse music scene through the lens of guitar playing in various local venues. The exhibition will feature musicians including Brittany Howard, Jack White, Yola, Bully and many others. One of those photographers, Lance Conzett, joined me to discuss his work and those photos telling the story of Nashville’s music scene.
Also taking place on Friday, Southern Movement Committee is presenting The Meat and Three Tour at The Blue Room starting at 8pm featuring Nashville hip hop Reaux Marquez, Mike Floss, $avvy, R&B artist Yours Truly Jai and DJs Afrosheen and Truestarr. Chuck Indigo, Mike Floss and former WNXP Nashville Artist of the Month $avvy joined me to discuss the mission for the Southern Movement Committee and the sound and visuals for the show.
You can check out both conversations above. Thank you for listening to another edition of What Where When-sday.
