WNXP’s Nashville Artist of the Month for October Kings of Leon have come a long way from their early days finding their footing on some of Music City’s long-gone small stages (more on their mythic beginnings at 12th & Porter and Slow Bar later in the month). More than two decades in, one of, if not the most successful rock and roll bands in Nashville history are arena headliners with a setlist full of hits that span generations. While their jam-packed hometown show at Bridgestone in support of their new album Can We Please Have Fun happened at the end of September, it seemed like a good place to start their run as Nashville Artist of the Month.
