Nashville’s Alicia Bognanno is truly one-of-a-kind. In an industry hellbent on pushing women behind the scenes, Bognanno breaks nearly every barrier with her project Bully. In addition to fronting the band with her uniquely raspy vocals, she writes, produces and mixes the songs — not to mention, absolutely shreds on guitar. Few artists have the ear nor the capacity for creating the totality of a song, but Bognanno can break down everything from the emotional lyrics of a track to the nerdy gear used to create the tone. Her latest record Lucky For You is proof that Bognanno is a pioneer for the entire alt-rock genre.
