Hannah Jadagu is living every indie artist’s fantasy. The singer, songwriter and producer signed to the iconic Sub Pop Records as a teenager, and now her debut EP What’s Going On? is receiving critical acclaim and garnering Jadagu fans across the globe. What’s more impressive? The 18 year-old records and produces all her music through her iPhone 7 using Garageband, an iRig, microphone and guitar. Through lo-fi beats and masterful bedroom pop, the intimate EP thoughtfully reflects on the hopes, fears and experiences of growing up as a young black woman in the U.S.
Watch Hannah Jadagu perform the title track from the new EP, her first breakout single “All My Time Is Wasted” and an unreleased track titled “Say It Now” live at WNXP’s Sonic Cathedral.
