Nashville’s girlhouse Christens WNXP’s Sonic Cathedral

WNXP Nashville officially welcomed our first band in the Sonic Cathedral, our new state-of-the-art performance space. Nashville-based artist girlhouse is the new solo project of Lauren Luiz of the folk-pop duo WILD. The up-and-coming bedroom-pop act recently released her second EP aptly titled ‘the second ep.’ Much like her debut, the new collection blends lo-fi indie rock with ’90s era alternative and grunge nostalgia, riding the new wave of ’90s indie rock resurgence.

Not only was the band our first guinea pig, they also helped save a skunk trapped in one our vents during the load in process. Luckily you can’t smell through the video. Watch girlhouse perform “Concussion” and “Happy Now” live from the Sonic Cathedral at WNXP Nashville.
