“Dreamy” is often a word overused to describe music, but Foxwarren’s compilations are exactly that. The Canadian quintet’s latest record 2 lulls you into a tranquil haze while consistently surprising you with intricate and unexpected arrangements. The ethereal instrumentation is equally matched by Andy Shauf’s tender vocals that transfer you into a dreamlike state.
The band’s chemistry is undeniable. The childhood friends weave in and out of the forefront and blend in a way that feels simultaneously like an accomplished band and pals jamming in a basement.
