Basking in the glow of Guerilla Toss’ hyperpop-psych rock

Hear Kassie Carlson from Guerilla Toss after their Nashville show

A few weeks after the release of their fifth studio record and Sub Pop debut Famously Alive, Brooklyn five-piece band Guerilla Toss brought their unique brand of psychedelic pop to a sold-out Blue Room (at Third Man Records) on Saturday, April 16. The WNXP Presents show also featured local punk band Snooper opening, replete with an arcade game sound machine and fake/foam dumbbell props.

The energy remained high throughout the night and I found Guerilla Toss singer Kassie Carlson still pulsating with frontwoman adrenaline at the merch table after their headlining set. We stole away for a few minutes to talk about the new record and reuniting with friends on tour.
