This week for What Where When-sday, we discuss Analog Soul – A Celebration of Making Noise with Jewly Hight and Nicole Kemp. Nashville Public Radio’s podcast series, Making Noise, tells the story of the music promotion company Lovenoise, who for 20 years provided a platform for Black music and reaching underserved audiences across generations. The final episode airs tomorrow, and the event will be a celebration of Lovenoise’s journey through conversation, spoken word and music. Senior music writer Jewly Hight and director of events Nicole Kemp spoke to me about the series reaching its conclusion and the event at Analog.
Additional event opportunities include Jon Batiste at the Ryman tonight. Dropkick Murphys bring their St. Patrick Day Tour to Marathon Music Works on Thursday. Bats Good Game Baby album release show is at The Blue Room on Friday night. Also on Friday, Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears will be at The Mil at Cannery Hall.
