El Kempner of Palehound is no stranger to riffs and punchy lyrics, but their latest full length Eye on the Bat is their sharpest, heaviest and most exhilarating record yet. Featuring hurried, punk guitars and visceral lyrics, it’s impossible to avoid the emotion of Kempner’s songs. The 10-song collection is blunt, honest and bold. Kempner’s maturity and fearlessness is heard at every turn, and the album’s high energy encourages listen after listen.

Watch Palehound perform “Good Sex,” “Route 22” and “My Evil” off Eye on the Bat live at WNXP’s Sonic Cathedral.
