Nashville’s *repeat repeat have always identified as a summer band, mastering the art of breezy, surf rock. When the pandemic forced everyone into solitude, it pushed a lot of artists’ creative boundaries, including that of Jared and Kristyn Corder.
The husband-and-wife duo expanded their sound, abandoning the “summer band” narrative, and creating a fuller sonic landscape. With influences from The Raveonettes to Andy Shauf, *repeat repeat have built a band (and a sound) reflective of their musical heroes.
Witness the evolution of *repeat repeat as they perform “Trippin’ (I Know I Will),” “For Leaving You,” and “Dearly Departed” live at WNXP’s Sonic Cathedral.
