Spring is here and it’s a busy week ahead as we enter the new season with Lido Pimienta at the Blue Room, the legendary Buddy Guy at The Ryman, Baby Keem at The Brooklyn Bowl and so much more.
We’ve long awaited the arrival of Tank and the Bangas for their show this Friday, March 25th at the Brooklyn Bowl ahead of their album release for Red Balloon in May. We were able to discuss the upcoming show and cover everything from their start together at an open mic in the vibrant city of New Orleans at the Liberty Lounge to their triumphant win of the NPR Tiny Desk Concert Series in 2017 and the journey they’ve had so far.
If you haven’t seen a Tank and the Bangas show before, you are in for a treat. The group treats every performance with first-timers in mind, bringing you that full energy and big sound.
Tank lays down what to expect best, “We are going from the bottom to the top. We’re going from fans that have been there from day one, fans who have met us in the middle and right on at the end….I love this set it’s so fun…It’s going to be one of the best nights of your life.”
