The East Nashville Beer Fest celebrates its 12 year, but 11th event (dang COVID-19), this Saturday at East Park from 12-5pm, featuring tastes of more than 50 craft brews from Tennessee, the Southeastern U.S. and even abroad. This is a marked shift from the early days of ENBF, says event founder Matt Leff of Rhizome Productions, who’s observed immense growth in the local craft beer scene since the inaugural festival in 2011.
What’s carried forth from its first events in a smaller “It City” is the festival’s emphasis on charitable giving — a portion of every ticket this year goes to The Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition, whose mission is “to be the foremost advocate and provider for Tennesseans facing breast cancer through individual assistance, education, and legislative action.” Also, you can bank on food trucks for filling your tummy with more than beer sips (crucial!) and sweet live music to fill your ears and move your feet. The stage entertainment brought to you by East Side Smiles was curated by Mike Grimes of Grimey’s New and Preloved Music, The Basement and The Basement East.
