Instrumenthead Revealed is Nashville photographer Michael Weintrob’s new coffee table book “unmasking” the musicians he previously featured in photos with their faces obscured by their instruments (the original Instrumenthead series). Monday’s book launch, exhibition and live music event at Exit/In features an all-star Allman Brothers Band tribute set, local artists Victor Wooten, Maggie Rose and more.
In today’s What Where When-sday, Weintrob discusses the project and Monday’s dedication to a recently lost friend, acclaimed TV director Max Schindler. Schindler had been assisting with the Instrumenthead Revealed launch and previously coordinated a lockdown series of shows filmed and livestreamed from Weintrob’s East Nashville studio.
