On Monday, April 18, a yearlong culmination of song-swapping and culture-building in Holly G’s Black Opry — started as informal gatherings of Black country, Americana and roots musicians, and a website hub for this creative communing — will be celebrated at City Winery in the Black Opry Anniversary Party co-hosted by Holly G and local comedian Joshua Black.
Editorial Director Jewly Hight caught up with Holly G about the past and hopeful future of Black Opry, which now includes a multi-artist touring package called Black Opry Revue.
