Increasingly, the week-ahead opportunities are almost too numerous to reduce for a short “recommended by WNXP and Do615” list on the radio — what a great problem to have, right, Middle Tennessee?
Do615’s Chris and Zach joined Morning Host Celia to highlight various live music opportunities at The East Room (prog rock and glam rock courtesy of Peverall and The Blam Blams, respectively), a Lower Broadway rooftop (Washed Out’s DJ set at Nashville Underground), an untz-untz/hip-hop festival in a state park (Deep Tropics Music, Art & Style Festival featuring many a WNXP-favorite MC) and another smooth R&B jams evening at Cannery Ballroom from NashFeels.
Other ways to get out — or get indoors somewhere not as awfully hot, goodness gracious — include Star Wars trivia in HipDo, a downtown Yappy Hour celebrating National Dog Day and benefitting Nashville Humane Association, Saturday morning Peter Pan ballet at The Nashville Zoo (you read that right!), free midweek yoga by Zoom courtesy of Patagonia, the first preseason Titans game vs. Da Bears, and of course multiple showtimes of a classic ’80s flick at The Belcourt Theater.
Whatever you choose, we wish you a safe and happy next few days! Take a glance at dozens of upcoming events around Nashville we are especially excited to share with you, all here via Do615:
