It’s an extra happy What Where When-sday that coincides with the 2nd Annual (and WNXP’s first) Public Radio Music Day! Thanks to Do615 and our other community partners for keeping Middle Tennesseans informed about local happenings, and enriching the many opportunities we have to connect with others over art, sports, nature and more.
In a quick run-down today, Chris and Zach joined me to highlight some concerts including the magnificent Allison Russell at Third Man Records on Thursday, #RecordoftheWeek star Mike Floss and friends at Exit/In on Friday, psych-soul act Fleece at East Room and indie-pop artist Indigo De Souza at Mercy both on Sunday (options!), plus a double-header with Deer Tick and Delta Spirit at Brooklyn Bowl on Monday.
Per usual, there are many things outside of music venues to get into, maybe a bourbon and vinyl pop-up to launch you into the weekend, or the Christmas Market at the Nashville Fairgrounds for the family to get a head start on holiday shopping and photos with Santa. As you plan to share noms with loved ones this Thanksgiving, learn how to plan the menu to minimize food waste and creatively repurpose leftovers in an evening workshop at Percy Warner Park on Tuesday.
