What Where When-sday With Do615 – 09/29/2021

As September turns to ROCK-tober in Middle Tennessee, Zach from Do615 and I had a lot to discuss. This edition of What Where When-sday is live music heavy at the top. There are almost too many options, from hometown shows with local indie darlings Soccer Mommy (Friday at Cannery Ballroom) and Katy Kirby (Saturday at Third Man’s Blue Room), to national tours sliding through Nashville and Franklin — DK The Drummer, whose deconstruction of a song is the first in our Singled Out series, at Basement East tonight; also tonight is Nashville night 2 of 2 at Brooklyn Bowl on Dr. Dog’s finale tour; Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Bahamas and Tre Burt will perform on Friday at First Bank Amphitheater; and Modest Mouse with Future Islands hit Ascend Amphitheater on Monday. You tired yet? Us, too! But, as always, so grateful for the tunes.

Speaking of grateful, a Dead-themed, family-friendly beer fest in Sevier Park on Saturday is called Touch of Brews and features Terrapin beer, natch. Also on Saturday are the virtual Nashville AIDS Walk led by cultural icon Leslie Jordan and a Bar-BE-Cue celebrating a decade of veggie goodness from local brand Be-Hive at East Nashville Beer Works (benefitting Nashville Humane Association). For the sports—and, as Zach said, “sports adjacent”—fans among us, Nashville SC plays Orlando City tonight and WWE’s Monday Night Raw hits Bridgestone Arena on October 4.

Have a good and safe week, and check out more curated picks for regional happenings at Do615:
