This week’s edition begins with a TON of Wednesday night options led by a Sold Out WNXP presents show with Ethel Cain at Basement East, legendary duo Robert Plant and Alison Krauss at Firstbank Amphitheater, electronic duo Jungle at Ryman Auditorium and alt rock hitmakers Twenty One Pilots at Bridgestone Arena.
For all those wanting to relive their late 90’s/early 2000’s boy band phase, Backstreet Boys are definitely back at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday. But if your tastes lean more into the psychedelic realm, there’s WAND in the Blue Room at Third Man Records. And if you want to satisfy your actual tastes, there’s the Nashville Brew Fest at First Horizon Park.
On Saturday “Float On” rockers Modest Mouse will be showing off their 2021 album, The Golden Casket at Brooklyn Bowl while Sunday sees the return of regular season NFL football with the Tennessee Titans hosting the New York Giants. Also on Sunday you can take a “trip” to the Caverns in Pelham for psych-rock/shoegaze icons Spiritualized with Nashville’s Nikki Lane opening. She stopped by our Sonic Cathedral to perform songs from her new album, Denim and Diamonds.
