This week for What Where Wednesday, we talk with Justin Causey of BlackCity Management about “Mo Better Blue Room” at the Blue Room this Friday night. An ode to Spike Lee’s 1990 film Mo Better Blues starring Denzel Washington, the event will feature local hip hop artists Triple Play Squeek, OGTHAGAWD and Saucyy Slim and is headlined by former WNXP Next Up artist Brian Brown. Causey joined me to discuss how the showcase came together and Black City’s goal for the Nashville music scene.
