Legendary rapper and Geto Boys’ member, Scarface is performing at the Brooklyn Bowl for his farewell tour with Nashville rapper Brian Brown opening. On Thursday night Grammy nominated indie pop breakthrough band Glass Animals will hit the stage at Ascend Amphitheater while down the road in Germantown, the Nashville Sounds will take on the Charlotte Knights with Urbaanite hosting an event at Third + Home.
On Friday, Lockeland Strings returns to the Blue Room with PeterOne and SG Goodman getting the string-backing treatment. Goodman’s latest project Teeth Marks was our Record of the Week back in June.
On Saturday, WWE Summer Slam takes place at Nissan Stadium while Nashville SC takes on Vancouver FC at Geodis Park, so make your travel plans accordingly. Wrestling fans can continue the fun on Sunday with legendary wrestler Ric Flair hosting his final match at Municipal Auditorium
On Sunday, Fleet Foxes play the outdoor amphitheater at The Caverns in Pelham while Kendrick Lamar brings his Big Steppers Tour to Bridgestone Arena. You can make it a four day weekend on Monday when WNXP presents Cat Power at the Brooklyn Bowl.
