What Where When-sday: Gift of Music Holiday Hip Hop Benefit & Nashville Punk Rock Flea Market

This week for What Where When-sday, we discuss the Gift of Music Holiday Hip Hop Benefit with Juliana Lee, program director for Helping Our Music Evolve (HOME). This community hub based out of East Nashville provides resources and program offerings for independent artists and producers in Nashville and beyond and also provides support for artists who might not typically be heard in the traditional Nashville music space. This benefit will be hosted at HOME’s headquarters on Main Street this Friday and highlight the local hip hop scene.

Taking place this Saturday and Sunday at Eastside Bowl is the Nashville Punk Rock Flea Market in support of Toys for Tots. I spoke with Mac Wallace, organizer and curator of the event.

Additional event opportunities include a show tonight (Wednesday, December 6) with Angel Olsen and Joanna Sternberg at Brooklyn Bowl, Futurebirds with special guest Carl Broemel at Brooklyn Bowl on Friday, Gloom Girl MFG at The OG Basement on Saturday, and An Evening with Alanna Royale at City Winery on Monday.
