Memorial Day Weekend is almost upon us and Middle Tennessee offers a plethora of outdoor and indoor activities for your potentially three-day extended playtime. We’ve got live music at The Mother Church, the Caverns in Pelham, and a quickly-organized who’s-who in support of reproductive freedom over at Eastside Bowl in Madison.
Saturday in East Park is the 2nd Annual Nashville Helping Nashville event, also an all-hands-on-deck benefit event, this supporting local independent music venues through the Music Venue Alliance. WNXP will be out there, as will several indie record stores, food trucks and of course great artists (including Lucinda Williams!).
Hear my catch-up with Chris Cobb, Founder of the MVAN and current operator of the historic EXIT/IN club on Elliston Place, about Nashville Helping Nashville and the importance of preserving these cherished spaces for artists and fans. Then find more events below (👇), and anytime via wnxp.org/events.
