This final week of September (how, already?!) is a doozie with many chances to see live music and sports and enjoy the segue into autumn (though it’s not feeling super autumnal just yet). The rescheduled One More HAIM tour hits Ascend Amphitheater tonight, and it’s there that My Morning jacket will noodle you into nirvana come Friday. On Thursday, former Nashville Artist of the Month The New Respects bring their family-soul flavor to The Basement East, and Metric will come crashing into Brooklyn Bowl on Sunday.
For a little something different — entertaining but possibly thought-provoking, too — local comedian Ben Oddo’s investigative mini-documentary called “Nashville Bachelorettes: A Ben Oddo Investigation” premiers at The Belcourt Theater on Thursday, followed by a panel discussion involving community stakeholders, moderated by yours truly.
