Tomorrow is the first in our Cheekwood Thursday Night Out series — a partnership for local artist exposure outside at the lush Cheekwood Estate & Gardens property in West Nashville, hosted the first Thursday of every month from May through August — featuring Josh Gilligan. You might remember Josh playing our first birthday party at EXIT/IN last December, and his EP Go Around covered last summer as #RecordoftheWeek by Emily Young. In today’s What Where When-sday, we hear from Josh about writing those songs we’ll hope to hear on the Cheekwood grounds.
Amid other live music opportunities indoors and out (the Musicians Corner free Centennial Park series starts Friday!) we also heard from Chicago artist KAINA, who plays The East Room with local opener Bantug on Sunday.
