WNXP’s second annual emo (request) show

We struck a nerve last year, in the best way, when buddy Jonathan Myers and I hosted a Thematic Static for the emo kids: all pop-punk and emo(tive) rock songs on a playlist built by you, co-hosted and broadcast by us before one of the Emo Night Nashville shows Jonathan and his friends have been hosting for nine years, now.

We knew we had to do it again and there’s no better time than right before ANOTHER Emo Night at Marathon Music Works (6/29). We gave away a pair of tickets. We enlisted Nashville Is The Reason founder Erick Charles and Emo Night mainstay Bangahrang (Spencer Nickel) to also talk emo and connect some Middle Tennessee dots to the scene of the early aughts. Check out the show below and the larger playlist of requests we couldn’t fit in!

Thanks, as usual, to United Record Pressing for supporting Thematic Static.
