The Weather Station Live at WNXP

Canadian singer-songwriter Tamara Lindeman has now recorded five albums as The Weather Station. With each release, their sonic landscape shifts, but Lindeman’s folk sensibilities remain consistent. From Bob Dylan to Kate Bush, The Weather Station’s influences are vast. By employing woodwinds, horns and lap steel, the instrumentation and production continues to expand, but Lindeman’s songwriting remains the glue that holds it all together. There’s a sweetness that brings sensitivity to even the heaviest subject matter. Her arrangements create a sense of warmth even in the darkest moments.

Watch The Weather Station perform “Marsh,” Parking Lot”, “Heart” and “Tried to Tell You” live at WNXP’s Sonic Cathedral.
