On The Record: Nashville band The Sewing Club break down their debut Sew

One of our favorite Nashville indie crews, The Sewing Club, just dropped their debut album Sew on Born Losers Records. It was made with Calvin Lauber (boygenius, Julien Baker) and sees the band lean even heavier into stacked guitars and fuzzed-out, shoegaze-adjacent, catchy-as-heck, melodic rock. Lead singer and songwriter Hannah McElroy sat down with us to talk about the band’s signing, their breakout song “Strange” and stories behind some of the debut’s standout tracks.
