It’s no secret Nashville is packed with artists pushing musical limits, but few are experimenting and bending genres like VEAUX. The trio, consisting of brothers Aaron and Dominick Wagner and long-time friend Andrew Black, blends indie-rock with a little R&B and a lot of groove to create a sound that feels both unique and innovative.
It’s clear authenticity is one of the band’s priorities. “When we look back on our lives as old men, I want to be able to say that we were true to ourselves. We spent years being paralyzed by fear and perfectionism, and we are finally in a place as a band and as a family to create honest art and let the chips fall where they may,” Aaron Wagner says.
Watch VEAUX perform “Moonlight Sugar,” “Dark Planet” and “Strawberry Blues” live at WNXP’s Sonic Cathedral. Don’t miss the Nashville trio at WNXP’s Next Up series April 26 at Brooklyn Bowl. Buy tickets here.
