New Music Experience: Favorites So Far – Nashville 2023

We’re not big on “Best Of” lists for all the obvious reasons (inevitable cultural bias, music as competition, unequal comparisons etc) but it is useful, and fun, to take a moment and look back on the year in music so far. It has been an incredibly deep one for releases by Nashville-based artists and while we feel strongly about the favorites highlighted here, this show is only one hour so some very deserving albums and EP’s by the likes of Joy Oladokun, Olivia Jean, Peter One, Ruston Kelly, Corook, Thayer Serrano, Negro Justice, Savannah Conley, Abby Holiday, Margo Price and many more aren’t on the show. We still love you (as evidenced by how much we play your music).
