Nick Carpenter, the creator of Medium Build, is the definition of a performer. His live sets feel like a therapy session, comedy routine and concert all in one. His charisma makes Medium Build’s music all the more captivating and can’t be denied when discussing his rise in popularity. Still, the music can stand on its own. His latest record Country is an homage to the genre and culture that influenced his identity, but don’t expect to hear twang from the now Nashville-based musician. What you can expect is a moving collection of songs honoring his upbringing and past through the lens of pristine indie pop songwriting.
