If the Kilby Block Party Preview segment on WNXP last week didn’t give you FOMO about one of the best music festivals in the country, perhaps our coverage from on-site this past weekend in Salt Lake City will do the trick. Representing Nashville’s Music Discovery Station at the three-day fest, we asked several artists rapid-fire questions about their own music, music they’d listen to forever on a desert island, Nashville memories, tour essentials (why yes, Smuckers UnCrustables appeared on at least one rider) and the importance of public radio. Unsurprisingly, some of our favorite musicians are also fierce advocates for independent media!
Many of the bands we met have just recently been in Nashville, like Hannah Cohen — others are visiting Music City for shows imminently, like The Last Dinner Party and Automatic in June, WNXP Presents: Wombo in July and WNXP Presents: American Football in August.
