If you were to run across the songs of Nashville-based artist Casper Sage on most streaming services, it would likely be through highly sought after placement on influential R&B playlists. But his influences, his sound and his tastes can’t be so easily confined. It was apparent from the first time we heard and began playing his song “Flow State” back in 2023 that this was an artist whose musical world was vast. In advance of his major label debut EP, Patina, Casper shared a handpicked playlist with WNXP that shows his boundless musical curiosity ranging from UK dreamy pop masters The Sundays to late 70’s/early 80’s influential German keyboardist Roedelius. Casper says this playlist is “A good mix of my favorites in the past couple of years. Something for everything.”
