From “diss tracks” to love letters, stories of coming of age to the ultimate homage to fallen musical heroes, songwriters seemingly just cannot help but shout out other artists in their songs. You listeners had oodles of examples for this theme, so we stretched it to two weeks. You can stream both shows here and a bigger playlist (twice as long!) on WNXP’s Spotify.

Send requests for future themes on social media @WNXPNashville and/or call 615-320-9100 or visit wnxp.org/feedback to leave us a voice memo describing why you want to hear what you want to hear on a mixtape we make together.
