After a couple years laying low in terms of touring, with followers eagerly awaiting new material and proof of life, the Oklahoma pop duo Sports self-produced and self-released their self-titled LP in February. We had childhood friends Christian Theriot and Cale Chronister On The Record with WNXP, when they also played new Sports songs in our Sonic Cathedral. They described working steadily but unrushed, and “learning to trust your inner voice,” in their own home studio to make tunes like “Drama King,” which they can now enjoy sharing live with their enthusiastic sing-a-long fans.
