Ahead of what was supposed to be an epic three-hour set at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, WNXP Nashville hosted an intimate live session with My Morning Jacket at the historic RCA Studio A on Music Row.
The band returned this summer with singles “Regularly Scheduled Programming” and “Love Love Love,” and announced their self-titled album will be released on October 22 via ATO Records. Frontman Jim James explained, “‘Love Love Love’ is trying to steer the ship away from everything I’m talking about in ‘Regularly Scheduled Programming,’ and speak toward positivity and pure love, finding truth within yourself and in the world around you.”
Watch James and the band steer that ship with this live performance of “Love Love Love” in one of the most adorned recording studios in Music City.
Founded by Chet Atkins with Owen and Harold Bradley in 1965, RCA Studio A is now owned and operated by “musician’s producer” Dave Cobb.
