Jarren Blair’s Map of Nashville

Jarren Blair has lived in the Nashville area since he was 9 years old. “I’m not a unicorn. But I am like a unicorn without the horn. I’m a Pegasus,” he says. Blair knows his way around the city. His map of Nashville has long-time Nashville insider knowledge, like Black Dynasty Secret Ramen House, “the alpha & the omega of ramen” according to Blair. Not long after he moved here he started playing music and getting involved in the local scene, so this map serves as a bit of biography too—he was playing Musicians Corner when he was a teenager and worked security at Bridgestone Arena.

Key to Blair’s development as an artist has been the improvisational music scene, which isn’t well documented in Nashville but Blair maps it out here. He puts on regular shows at Inglewood Lounge, Rudys and Flamingo. He may be an artist at the beginning of his career, but he is a veteran of the city. This is Jarren Blair’s Nashville.
